SELWYN HOUSE English Oak Chopping Board

£65.00
Description

A wooden chopping board created with kitchen-to-table summer feasting in mind.

Selwyn House have designed this oak chopping board to be used for both chopping and serving.

Working from their Northamptonshire studio, they hand-turn each board from a single piece of quarter-sawn English oak: characterful, strong and stable. A thicker stock than their standard boards helps this board stay flat on all surfaces.

The board has a gently curving undercut to the underside, making it easy to pick up and carry as a serving board - also handy for scooping chopped food or peelings off the edge of the board.

Finished in mineral oil and Selwyn House's Wood Balm, these boards have a vegan-friendly finish which can easily be rejuvenated to continually care for your board, and extend its lifespan.

A timeless item that would be a great gift for someone who loves preparing and serving food beautifully.

About Selwyn House
Established in 2017 by Sean Best and Ellie Smalls, Selwyn House create functional yet beautiful wooden tableware that doesn’t compromise on sustainability. Their pieces are born from a love of great food and gathering together for simple feasts. Every piece is made individually by hand in their workshop in rural Northamptonshire, exclusively from trees which are grown in Britain and sourced in small batches from independent sawmills. Rather than the tropical timbers so often found in commercial woodenware, Selwyn House choose to use the fantastic hardwoods available right here in this country - hoping to play a small part in highlighting the beauty of British timber and the need to invest in its future.
