Pottery West Stumpie Candle Gift Set

Candle holder:
Thrown on the potter’s wheel in an iron-rich flecked stoneware, and glazed in "Ochre", a glaze named after one of its ingredients - iron ochre. Full of warm, caramel tones and delicate crystalline patterns.

The candle holder is stamped on the base with Pottery West’s maker’s mark.

Candles:
A pair of beeswax stumpie candles, joined at the wick. These candles are made in small batches in Cumbria using a traditional hand-dipped method.

Perfect for bringing a cosy glow to the dinner table.

• Approximately 12 hours burning time per candle.

How to use 
Ensure your candle fits securely in your candle holder. Trim the wick to around 6mm before lighting. Never leave a lit candle unattended. 

About Pottery West
From their Sheffield city centre studio, Catherine and Matt West design and make by hand their range of beautiful, functional ceramic tableware. Together with their small team, they use traditional methods of making, creating forms by hand on the wheel and with minimal tools, with glazes mixed from oxides and raw materials. 

About Moorlands
The small team at Moorlands in Alston, Cumbria have been making candles using a traditional hand dipped method since 1981. As well as shops, their candles can also be seen in film, TV and on stage at the Globe Theatre.
