In the midst of planning the Land Tales store launch, I'm taking a break on a Sunday morning to look back at some photos of our March pop up shop.
It was such fun to be back at Host of Leyton. It was early March, so technically still winter but spring was in the air.
Host of Leyton is on a corner plot, with generously sized windows on two sides, and I was fortunate to have a few bright days with warm sunlight streaming in.
Walthamstow's floristry experts Borrowed Light Floral Studio provided some British grown narcissus, and beautiful new local bakery Suba (who are absolute pastry perfectionists) offered up some baked goods for our weekend customers.
It was lovely to see so many familiar customers from the last pop up, and lots of new faces too. I'm so grateful for the support and encouragement everyone's given the early days of Land Tales.
Each of these pop ups has been a chance to test and to learn. I learned a useful lesson when I ran out of Mother's Day cards two days early. Luckily Annie Brougham saved me, with a lightening speed restock of her beautiful letterpress cards.
The pop ups always pass by so quickly, and I wish I'd taken a few more pictures, but here's a little selection, featuring ceramic tableware by Florence Ceramics, Pottery West, Clare Spindler and Celia Wood; home textiles from Stoff Studios, Hannah Shkandrij and Loual; Austin Austin organic bathroom products, and more.
Land Tales will be back at Host of Leyton for a summer pop up in mid June. Plans are coming together and I can't wait to share more details soon. But first, it's time to return to getting the online store ready - just a few weeks to go...
