DESCRIPTION

A lovely ceramic cup featuring a painted brushstroke design. We love these cups because they're:

Handcrafted in London by ceramicist Chloë Rogers, who makes the shape of the cup on the potter's wheel before adding the glaze and painted brushstroke. She adds her maker's mark to the base of each cup, to show that this is a handcrafted piece of tableware.

Elegantly shaped, with slim walls that make the cup feel light in the hand. With its handpainted brushstroke, each cup is unique.

A lovely addition to your home, suitable for a flat white coffee, or for water or even wine.

Made in: Deptford, South East London

How it's made: The clay is an iron-rich toasted clay; the cups are dipped in an Oatmeal glaze and then decorated with brushstrokes in Borage Blue glaze, before being fired to 1280 degrees.

Dimensions (approximate): 7cm tall, 8cm across top, 5cm across base. Approx 180-200ml total volume.

Please note that this is a handcrafted ceramic piece and therefore there is slight variation in the dimensions, glaze finish and brushstroke effect between each piece.

Chloë Rogers is a ceramicist based at Ceramics Studio Co-op in Deptford. She’s also a social worker and makes ceramics alongside this work. Chloë makes wheel-thrown, functional ceramics for your home including tableware and decorative pieces.
