DESCRIPTION

A beautiful and versatile oval tray with a pared-back, minimalist form, crafted from English oak. 

Selwyn House have made this tray from air-dried, English quarter sawn oak, which is strong, stable and full of character. Each tray is unique in grain pattern and colouring, and these oval trays often feature beautiful medullary rays alongside the rich warm tone of the timber.

Finished in a food safe hard wax oil for durability, the tray can be used as a piece of kitchen or tableware (but to preserve the appearance it should not be used as a surface for sharp objects). It works well as a surface for bottles of oil, or salt and pepper.

Also works well in a bedroom or living space as a surface on which to display favourite objects.

How to care for your tray 
Not suitable for dishwashers or submerging in water. For best results wipe clean with a damp cloth and use a Wood Balm regularly to preserve the finish.

About Selwyn House
Established in 2017 by Sean Best and Ellie Smalls, Selwyn House create functional yet beautiful wooden tableware that doesn’t compromise on sustainability. Their pieces are born from a love of great food and gathering together for simple feasts. Every piece is made individually by hand in their workshop in rural Northamptonshire, exclusively from trees which are grown in Britain and sourced in small batches from independent sawmills. Rather than the tropical timbers so often found in commercial woodenware, Selwyn House choose to use the fantastic hardwoods available right here in this country - hoping to play a small part in highlighting the beauty of British timber and the need to invest in its future.
DELIVERY AND RETURNS

Orders placed between 21-29 December will be dispatched on 30 December. However, if you need something to arrive before Christmas, please get in contact via hello@landtales.co.uk before ordering and we'll do our very best to help, with a bespoke cost for Royal Mail Special Delivery depending on the items you would like to purchase.
