A special serving plate crafted by ceramicist and illustrator Celia Wood in Edinburgh. 

The centre of the plate features a whimsical illustration of a gardener picking vegetables, a bird flying above, and a repeated motif of vegetables painted around the edge of the plate. 

Signed on the underside by the artist.

This collectable piece would work well as the centrepiece on a feasting table, or as a decorative feature on a mantlepiece or shelf.  It would also make for a unique housewarming or wedding gift.

Handmade from white earthenware, this generously deep plate has been hand-painted with an underglaze in cheerful tones of red, green, pink, ochre and mustard, and finished with a transparent glaze to add a sheen to its upper surface.

Ceramicist and illustrator Celia Wood makes whimsical, hand-built ceramic pieces from her studio in Edinburgh. She decorates each piece by hand using her signature expressive, narrative line work.
