Packaging
Packaged in an elegant and minimalist box made from recycled coffee cups, with no plastic packaging in sight.

How to use and store: 
Use in place of shower gel, or at your bathroom or kitchen sink for hand washing.  For direct application using a cotton soap bag to protect your skin from the mildly scratchy salt grains.

Before first use, store your boxed soap somewhere warm, dry, and well-ventilated. If your soap becomes damp, it is because the salt has absorbed atmospheric humidity. Don’t worry, it doesn't damage the soap but it can damage the biodegradable packaging.

Once unwrapped, keep it in a soap dish to provide adequate drainage and airflow.

From their HQ near the beach in Edinburgh, Dook make artisanal salt soap in small batches using organic ingredients, essential oils and natural colours. Each batch is mixed and poured by hand resulting in distinctive, high-quality hand and body soap. Sustainability is central to Dook's manufacturing and retail approach. The main oils used in their products are organic and from sustainable sources. Plastic is kept to a minimum during manufacture and all packaging and shipping materials are made out of exclusively recycled and recyclable materials.

Himalayan Salt: Dook’s salt soaps consist of 50% Himalayan pink salt, renowned for its detoxifying, exfoliating, and rejuvenating properties, thanks to its rich trace mineral content.

Organic Coconut Oil: This cleansing powerhouse creates a luxurious lather, transforming the salty soap into a smooth, lotion-like foam.

Raw Organic Shea Butter: Moisturise and nourish your skin with the added benefits of vitamins A, E, and F, known for promoting skin health, along with minerals that possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities. 

Activated charcoal: The layered pattern of charcoal grey makes each of these bars unique.  The powdered charcoal is "activated" by steam processing it at very high temperatures. These temperatures change its internal structure - increasing its surface area. This means that each grain of charcoal in your soap absorbs more toxins and impurities from your skin, preventing your body from absorbing them and leaving you with a feeling of freshness.
