A tactile and well-crafted little wooden plate, made in the UK.  

With the warm tones of natural timber, this is a stylish piece of tableware for a slice of cake or a little treat.  

This plate is made by Selwyn House in their Northamptonshire workshop, using English Oak that is sustainably grown in Britain.

Each plate is individually hand-turned from quarter sawn English Oak. The slow growth and long drying process has resulted in a fantastically rich, characterful wood, often with beautiful medullary rays running across the surface.

Gently curving inside and out, with a slight bevel to the rim, light weight and well balanced proportions, this a lovely piece of tableware to hold and eat from. Finished in a hardwearing hardwax oil.  Also available in a larger size, suitable for lunch.

How to care for your plate
Not suitable for dishwashers or submerging in water. For best results wipe clean with a damp cloth and use a Wood Balm regularly to preserve the finish.

About Selwyn House
Established in 2017 by Sean Best and Ellie Smalls, Selwyn House create functional yet beautiful wooden tableware that doesn’t compromise on sustainability. Their pieces are born from a love of great food and gathering together for simple feasts. Every piece is made individually by hand in their workshop in rural Northamptonshire, exclusively from trees which are grown in Britain and sourced in small batches from independent sawmills. Rather than the tropical timbers so often found in commercial woodenware, Selwyn House choose to use the fantastic hardwoods available right here in this country - hoping to play a small part in highlighting the beauty of British timber and the need to invest in its future.
DELIVERY AND RETURNS

Standard Delivery - £3.95 (Free for orders over £100)
Deliveries are pausing for a few days during the Easter holiday. Orders placed between 15-21 April will be dispatched on 22 April using a Royal Mail Tracked Next Day Service, for delivery on 23/24 April.

Sadly, we are currently unable to deliver to customers in Northern Ireland due to the new GSPR guidelines.
