Pottery West Stoneware Oil Burner in Sand Glaze
A beautiful and functional handmade ceramic object for the home, this generously proportioned essential oil burner / diffuser has a sculptural form inspired by the architecture of Louis Kahn and his bold Brutalist designs of brick with cut-throughs.
This piece has been hand-thrown in a flecked stoneware in Sheffield by Pottery West, and stamped on the base with their maker’s mark.
Glazed in ‘Sand’, which uses red iron oxide as its main colourant to create warm sandy tones with plenty of iron speckles that appear orange, red and brown.
The lid acts as a vessel for the water and oil, and is glazed on the underside for ease of cleaning. The base of the burner is gently tapered to create a shadow gap.
Homework Essential Oil Blend - Wood
A 20ml bottle of 100% natural essential oil blend with a scent profile of wood, earth, moss and green, made in London by Homework.
Homework say: Think of Wood as growth: the embodiment of moving towards something and of constant renewal. It’s the element that gives us the structure and the flexibility to cultivate an expansive, hopeful and optimistic life (even when it feels challenging). The one that encourages us to look ahead, plan and make decisions and find clarity. Remember walking through the forest? The deep green canopy above, the soft moss crackling beneath your feet, and the fresh smell of pine breaking through the mist.
Homework work with UK based suppliers for essential oils which are sustainably sourced and from non-endangered plant species. This essential oil blend is formulated, blended and packaged in their London studio. It is non-GM, palm-free, vegan, and comes in a 100% recyclable glass bottle which is made in the EU.
How to use the gift set
Fill the oil burner lid with water and add the required amount of drops of your essential oil blend. Light a tealight candle and place on the base of the pot. Within 20 minutes you’ll begin to see steam. Please note that the ceramic burner does become hot and shouldn’t be touched or moved when being used and until it has cooled down after use. After use simply wash or wipe the lid with a cloth.
Never leave a candle burning unsupervised
