Description

A grounding and calming scented soap bar made with Himalayan salt.

Handmade by Dook in Edinburgh’s seaside neighbourhood Portobello.

This sustainably made, natural soap will leave your skin feeling refreshed, cleansed, and nourished. The salt exfoliates and also softens the water letting the soapy suds remove impurities and daily build-up from your skin.

A generous amount of raw shea butter in each bar ensures that your skin will feel moisturised and supple.

Infused with an essential oil blend that combines the sharpness of citrus with the depth of woody notes and spiced warm undertones from secret ingredient – Coriander Essential Oil.

Perfect as a gift for men or women. Or a little treat for yourself!

Key ingredients:

  • Himalayan Salt: Dook’s salt soaps consist of 50% Himalayan pink salt, renowned for its detoxifying, exfoliating, and rejuvenating properties, thanks to its rich trace mineral content.
  • Organic Coconut Oil: This cleansing powerhouse creates a luxurious lather, transforming the salty soap into a smooth, lotion-like foam.
  • Raw Organic Shea Butter: Moisturise and nourish your skin with the added benefits of vitamins A, E, and F, known for promoting skin health, along with minerals that possess antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities.
  • French Pink Clay: A natural skin decongestant and purifier. Pink clay is a mixture of Illite and Kaolin clays and is brilliant for absorbing excess oils and removing impurities from your pores.

Full ingredients: Sodium cocoate (saponified coconut oil), sodium sheabutterate (saponified shea butter), sodium chloride (himalayan salt), aqua (water), glycerin, cupressus funebris (cedar) wood oil, citrus auratium amara (bitter orange) leaf oil, coriandrum sativum (coriander) fruit oil, C177891 (white mineral colourant) linalool,* limonene,* geraniol.* (*Naturally occurring in essential oils.)

How to use and store:
Use in place of shower gel, or at your bathroom or kitchen sink for hand washing.  Consider using a cotton soap bag to protect your skin from the mildly scratchy salt grains.

Before first use, store your boxed soap somewhere warm, dry, and well-ventilated. If your soap becomes damp, it is because the salt has absorbed atmospheric humidity. Don’t worry, it doesn't damage the soap at all but it can damage the biodegradable packaging.

Once you’ve unwrapped your soap, keep it in a soap dish to provide adequate drainage and airflow.
