LUCÍA OCEJO Textured Tea Cup with Saucer in Pale Green

£38.00
Description

A ceramic tea cup and saucer with a pale green glaze, handmade in East London by Lucía Ocejo.

The teacup has facetted sides which make this a textural object to hold while enjoying your tea.

The exterior is glazed in a complex, pale sage green that becomes darker and more olive where it gathers in the grooves of the facets, along the handle and at the base of the glazed area.

The interior is a gloss finish with glaze droplets from the pigmented rim.

Flecks of iron are visible at the rim of the cup, and the turned footring at the base is left raw, creating a textural contrast between the glaze and the exposed clay. The saucer is glazed in a matching pale green which shows flecks of iron from the clay beneath, and also has a turned footring.

The cup is stamped at the base of the handle with Lucía Ocejo's maker's mark.

Volume: approximately 225ml.

How to care for your tea cup and saucer
Wash by hand with warm soapy water. To preserve your ceramics, do not place in the dishwasher.
