FLORENCE CERAMICS Rounded Bud Vase in Seafoam Glaze

A lovely ceramic bud vase, ideal for displaying a small posy of fresh or dried foliage.   

Made by Florence in her Bristol pottery studio, the bud vase is hand-thrown on the potter’s wheel in a flecked stoneware clay to create a rounded, bellied shape with a small opening at the rim.  

It is glazed in Florence’s Sea Foam glaze, a beautiful spectrum of pale colour from blues to greys to greens to creams, breaking taupe on sharper edges such as the rim. The shape of the vase allows the glaze to flow in a way that highlights the natural variation of the colour. 

Finished with a maker’s stamp on the base. 

This little vase would make a thoughtful birthday or housewarming present. With its pleasingly pared-back form, it would fit well in a wide range of home interiors, whether traditional, contemporary or somewhere in-between.
