MABEL AND CO Three Pocket Notebooks ~ letterpress printed in Suffolk

A set of three notebooks hand-made by Mabel & Co in Suffolk.

These British-made notebooks are a genuine pleasure to use, and come in a robust presentation wallet. They would make a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates good quality and well-considered stationery.

Mabel & Co searched high and low to find a 100% recycled and British made paper that was a touch heavier than your standard notebook and able to take a fountain pen without bleeding or showing through the other side.

The woven 120gsm paper has been produced in Aberdeenshire and works wonderfully with pen or pencil.

How it's made
The charcoal grey cover and wallet is hand letterpress printed on 80% recycled card using Mabel & Co’s treadle press. It is typeset in Johnston Sans, a typeface drafted in 1913 for London Underground.

Mabel & Co bind the notebooks on their c1890 German stitcher using vintage coppered staples. The wallets have brass eyelets handset over the washers and a linen thread.
