SELWYN HOUSE Tin of Wood Balm 60ml

Please note this product contains walnut oil.

A tin of wood balm, to care for your boards and utensils.

Regularly hydrating your wooden tableware and kitchenware pieces will help to prolong their life.

A blend of walnut oil, candelilla wax and cold-pressed lemon oil, this semi-solid balm is suitable for boards, bowls, utensils, even tabletops.

It is blended and hand-poured by Selwyn House in their Northamptonshire workshop.

Supplied in a 60ml screw-top recyclable aluminium container, with instructions on the reverse. This amount is enough to take care of a board for several years.

How to use your wood balm
Simply apply with a lint-free cloth all over your item, allow the wood to absorb the balm for half an hour then buff with a dry cloth to remove any residue. Selwyn House recommend applying this balm at least every few months, but it can be used more often whenever your items look in need of moisture and rejuvenation.

Established in 2017 by Sean Best and Ellie Smalls, Selwyn House create functional yet beautiful wooden tableware that doesn’t compromise on sustainability. Their pieces are born from a love of great food and gathering together for simple feasts. Every piece is made individually by hand in their workshop in rural Northamptonshire, exclusively from trees which are grown in Britain and sourced in small batches from independent sawmills. Rather than the tropical timbers so often found in commercial woodenware, Selwyn House choose to use the fantastic hardwoods available right here in this country - hoping to play a small part in highlighting the beauty of British timber and the need to invest in its future.
