Large Butter Dish by Florence Ceramics

How it's made
Florence makes these butter dishes on the potter's wheel in her Bristol Studio. She handcrafts each element including the finely pinched and turned handle. The plate features a gentle swirl mark which Florence makes with her thumb, and the underside of the plate is left unglazed, and stamped with Florence's maker's mark.

The finish:
Crafted from flecked stoneware clay and glazed in Florence's classic "Oatmeal" glaze, a calming warm off-white with tiny flecks of iron peeping through the surface, breaking slightly darker on sharp edges.

Bell: 15cm wide (tapers to 11cm wide at top)
Plate: 16.2cm wide 
8.5cm total height (including handle)
Holds a standard 250g block of butter.
This is a handmade piece and therefore dimensions vary slightly between each butter dish.

How to look after your butter dish: 
Wash by hand with warm soapy water. Not recommended for microwaves or dishwashers.
