DESCRIPTION

Bring tactile, handmade ceramics into the kitchen with this elegant butter dish made by Florence Ceramics.

The rounded bell shape comfortably holds a standard block of butter.

Glazed in "Oatmeal", a speckled, off-white that fits seamlessly into a wide range of interior schemes and colour palettes.

Please note that due to being handmade, the butter dish is not completely airtight as there is a very small gap between the top and the base.

Made in Bristol, England.

The glaze: Oatmeal is a slightly off-white with tiny flecks of iron peeping through the surface, breaking slightly darker on sharp edges.

The design: The reversible plate can be used either flat side down (and therefore with a ring to keep the lid in place) or footring-side-down (which raises the dish a little and enables you to pick it up easily).

The plate features a gentle swirl mark which Florence makes with her thumb.

Holds a standard 250g block of butter.

Not recommended for microwaves or dishwashers.

Florence is a ceramic artist making contemporary, considered tableware for daily life. She creates pottery for private clients, restaurants and a small number of shops, with every item thrown, fired and glazed entirely by hand in her Bristol Studio. Simple but not simplistic, her pottery is intended to be both beautiful and useful.
