CELIA WOOD Hand-painted Ceramic Vase "Liberty" (Pre-Order for February)

Made using a slab-building technique, with sheets of clay carefully assembled to create a flat front and back to the vase, which are approximately 147mm at the widest point and 200mm tall, joined with 50mm sides. 

Both faces of the vase feature a bird painted with sunshine and golden yellow tones, surrounded by lilac, coral and teal-green foliage on a white background, all hand-painted in Celia’s signature expressive style. The side panels of the vase are finished with lilac edging and yellow flowers.

Made from white earthenware, hand painted with a colourful underglaze, and finished with a transparent glaze for a glossy effect that catches the light.

Signed on the base by the artist.

This would make a special housewarming or wedding gift for someone who appreciates expressive handmade ceramics.
