Pasta Bowl by Florence Ceramics

How it's made
Florence makes these pasta bowls on her potter's wheel. As part of the turning process, she adds a footring, before stamping her maker's mark on the base. The interior of the bowl is hand-glazed, and the bowl is fired in the kiln.

Design details
Made from durable, gently flecked stoneware clay and glazed in Florence’s classic Oatmeal glaze, a slightly off-white neutral with tiny flecks of iron peeping through the glaze surface. Each bowl is glazed on the inside and left raw on the outside, which creates a satisfying textural change.

Dimensions
20.5cm across x 8cm high, Footring 6.7cm. This is a handmade piece and therefore dimensions vary slightly between each bowl.

How to look after your bowl
Wash by hand with warm soapy water. If any staining occurs, for example due to contact with turmeric or beetroot, the stain can be removed using bicarbonate of soda and warm water.
